Fratire Publishing LLC, a small self-publisher with a provocative catalog of anti-wokeness non-fiction guidebooks and college level textbooks and one board game, is seeking an experienced and part time Library Books Sales Director for developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue generated from library book sales, managing customer relationships with libraries, and identifying new market opportunities to increase book distribution within the library market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales within the publishing or library sector, with a proven track record of building client relationships and closing deals. We also need a candidate with a sapient being mindset to fill this position, so if you have Trump or Elon Derangement Syndrome, and you’re progressive regressive, this position is NOT for you. Sapience (the key component of a sapient being), also known as wisdom, is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight. Sapience is associated with attributes such as intelligence, enlightenment, unbiased judgment, compassion, experiential self-knowledge, self-actualization, and virtues such as ethics and benevolence. Key Responsibilities May Include: • Creating and implementing comprehensive sales plans to target specific library segments, including public, school, college, academic, and special libraries. • Building strong relationships with key library decision-makers, understanding their needs, and proactively presenting relevant book collections. • Conducting market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and potential new library markets to expand sales reach. • Developing marketing materials and sales presentations to effectively showcase library book collections (we have a book catalog) and highlight unique features. • Negotiating sales contracts with libraries, including pricing, discounts, and payment terms. • Tracking sales performance against targets, generating sales reports, and forecasting future revenue. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Proven track record of success in a sales leadership role, preferably within the publishing or library services industry. • Deep understanding of the library market, including library acquisition processes, budget cycles, and key decision-makers. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present sales proposals and build customer relationships. • Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions. • Ability to develop strong partnerships with library acquisitions and collections managers.
