Description: We are seeking a licensed architect to design a 25’ x 25’ standalone commercial kitchen building adjacent to our residence in Ferry County, Washington. The design must meet all applicable codes and be fully compliant with Northeast Tri County Health District (NETCHD) and Ferry County Planning & Building Department regulations. This kitchen will be used for commercial food preparation, community food events, and as a prep space for food-related business ventures. ⸻ Project Scope: • Create full stamped construction drawings for a standalone, single-story commercial kitchen building (625 sq ft). • Design must comply with: • Washington State Retail Food Code (WAC 246-215) • Northeast Tri County Health District requirements • Ferry County building, zoning, and septic requirements • ADA, fire safety, and energy code standards • Integrate a layout that supports efficient food prep, storage, dishwashing, and service flow • Plan must be suitable for health department plan submission and approval ⸻ Deliverables: • Complete architectural drawing set (PDF + CAD), stamped by a Washington State licensed architect • Equipment layout with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical coordination • Site plan showing relationship to existing residence and utility connections • Specification sheets for proposed equipment • Fire suppression and ventilation planning • Guidance on health department submittal and coordination support • Revisions based on reviewer feedback (if needed) ⸻ Ideal Candidate: • Licensed architect with active Washington State stamp (required) • Experience designing commercial kitchens, commissaries, or food service buildings • Familiarity with rural permitting and health department plan reviews in Washington • Able to communicate and collaborate remotely • Optional: Experience with septic design or coordination with civil engineers ⸻ To Apply: Please include the following in your proposal: • Confirmation of licensure in WA and ability to stamp plans • Portfolio of relevant commercial or food service projects • Estimated turnaround time and your availability • Fee proposal (hourly or fixed)
