Community Care and Counseling Services is looking to employ experienced licensed Behavior Therapists/Mental Health Counselors to help patients address unhealthy and debilitating behaviors as well as overcome phobias, addictions, and traumas. The Behavior Therapist's/Mental Health Counselor's responsibilities include helping patients understand their behaviors, teaching patients how to change their responses to unfavorable situations, and assisting patients in developing healthier coping mechanisms. The Therapists/Counselors should also be able to create personalized exercises and homework assignments to help patients adjust their thought patterns. To be successful as a Behavior Therapist/Mental Health Counselor, you should demonstrate compassion, patience, and understanding when treating patients. Ultimately, an outstanding behavior therapist should be able to effectively communicate with patients to establish trust and accurately assess patients’ progress. Community Care and Counseling Services is seeking full-time mental health clinicians to provide evaluations and individual psychotherapy as part of our multidisciplinary outpatient program. Key Responsibilities: Provides intake, diagnostic assessment and individual and/or group therapy as assigned. Carries a caseload and provides outpatient psychotherapy services. Caseload will represent varying populations – adult/child/family/group. Coordinates case conferences with other providers, family members etc. as appropriate. Ensure the quality and timely completion of documentation. Develops treatment plans aligned with Center’s standards of care. Provides supervision to non-independent licensed clinicians. Attends in-service training for ongoing licensure requirements (required and elective) and 1 hour of individual supervision per week. Shares best practices and expertise during group supervision. Attends team meetings and other required meetings. Complies with all Clinic policies for compliance and documentation. Participates on committees and task forces as appropriate. Participates in interview/hiring other clinicians (if applicable) Qualifications: Master's level degree or above (current independent license - LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, PhD/Psyd, MD a PLUS but not required) Minimum 2 years direct clinical care. Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Enjoys and works effectively in culture of collaboration, ongoing change, commitment to racial equity, diversity and inclusion. The ability to work within a team. Strong problem-solving skills Passion for providing quality behavioral mental health services to an otherwise underserved population. Demonstrate sound clinical judgment. Knowledge of community resources. Ability to speak effectively with clients, clinical personnel, and Clinic staff. Digital fluency including experience with electronic medical records and MS Office. Must be comfortable using EHR systems. Knowledge of ICANOTES EHR system is a plus. Interest in working with children preferred. Compensation: $30.00to $42.00 (depending on experience & licensure) Fee for service/per patient visit (including documentation)
