We are seeking a skilled bookkeeper and tax preparer with a strong background in credit card processing and accounting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with accounting software and excellent communication skills are essential. Responsibilities: Reconcile monthly credit card and bank statements and investigate any discrepancies. Reconcile payroll service, unemployment, and workers' compensation paperwork updated (Payroll service handles all the paperwork, verify it is up to date and correct) Track what the business owes and when payments are due; only 5 monthly ACH sent Verify monthly invoices and payments are allocated correctly to the right clients. Store receipts in digital format, and organize files in easy-to-find categories Run monthly P&L, Balance sheet, and cash reports organized in finance folders Review monthly residuals for errors and submit and track tickets for corrections Submit monthly sales tax and prepare taxes once a year, track in folders Assist with local, state, and federal compliance as needed (usually annually) Document financial process and suggest AI solutions for speed and efficiency Automated Tasks: Daily financial records are categorized and automated. AP and AR are automated, 90% are on automatic deposit. No Petty Cash, No inventory, No liabilities, No Debt
