Video Editor for Personal + Educational Explant Documentary (Interviews, Health/Wellness Focus)

I’m a nurse practitioner sharing my explant journey in an emotional and educational documentary that I’ll be publishing to YouTube and potentially submitting to health-focused platforms. This project is deeply personal and professionally important — combining my own healing experience with valuable, science-backed insights around breast implant illness, recovery, and integrative health. About the Project: Documentary style, 20–30 minutes (final length TBD) Mix of raw video clips, personal interviews, expert interviews, voiceovers, and social media content Goal: To educate, empower, and validate other women going through similar health challenges Tone: Authentic, vulnerable, hopeful, informative, and inspiring Intended for YouTube (plus possibly cut-downs for Instagram or future media use) What I’m Looking For: A skilled story-driven video editor who can bring together multiple footage types and shape a cohesive, meaningful narrative Experience working with interview footage (including syncing voice/audio) and creating clean transitions Able to blend personal storytelling with educational content, charts/graphics if needed, and overlays for clarity Someone with an understanding of or interest in health, wellness, and healing journeys Bonus if you’ve worked on mini-docs, YouTube series, or health content Deliverables: Final cut: 20–30 minute YouTube-ready video (open to being longer if the story warrants) Clean transitions, background music, text overlays, subtitles (if needed) To Apply: Please share: Relevant examples of past work (especially anything with interviews, wellness, or educational content) Your pricing / rate and estimated timeline Your editing tools/software A brief note about why this project resonates with you I’m excited to tell this story with someone who believes in the power of vulnerability, education, and integrative healing.
