I am interested finding someone with a keen design eye who is very experienced in the fashion and apparel industry. This person will help me develop an initial core line up of higher quality apparel for a niche sport that is played during the fall and winter at country clubs throughout the US. Given the culture of the sport, the items will be mostly heavy weight sweatshirts and Trucker hats. I will likely be working in the confines of POD companies such as Printify and Printful to start so any complicated tech packs or physical drawings would be unnecessary. Experience in POD is helpful. This person needs to be interested in learning the gritty yet sophisticated culture of this sport by reviewing photos on social media, APTA and other related websites in order to develop an informed opinion of apparel designs that will resonate. This person will help me design graphics (mostly very simple to start) and advise on logo placement to ensure the items are stylistically appealing. This person will also help me decide on the items to be included in a core line up. This person must have a creative eye to ensure that products are unique and desireable. Experience using other Print on Demand or Dropship companies is a plus. I am not ruling out white labeling existing blank products and possibly carrying inventory if that makes sense, particularly for athleisure or outdoor activewear. Advice on and possible execution of this would be appreciated. If business is successful, will consider growing product line up to involve full scale end to end apparel design, but need to test these waters first. Please note, the work will be far simpler than private labeling and apparel design from the ground up since we will be working and designing within the limitations of POD companies. This is a start-up company.
