We are seeking a full-time professional video editor to join our team and support ongoing projects focused on New York City civic engagement. The editor will work with video footage captured at various city events and produce high-quality, engaging content for a wide audience. Key Responsibilities: -Edit event recap videos (horizontal, 1–1.5 minutes) -Create social media cuts (vertical, :30 seconds and shorter edits) -Select and organize the best footage to tell a compelling story -Add simple, clean graphics, subtitles, and branding as needed -Deliver polished videos that meet quick turnaround deadlines (typically within one week of receiving footage) Qualifications: -Proven experience editing professional event content -Strong storytelling and pacing skills for both longer recaps and short-form social videos -Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently under tight timelines -Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects experience a plus) -Strong attention to detail, especially for city agency content requiring professionalism -Familiarity with editing for different social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) -Ability to maintain consistent quality across projects Additional Details: -NYC-based or familiar with New York City culture and civic landscape (preferred) -Remote position -Ongoing projects with steady editing needs throughout the year If you are a reliable, detail-oriented editor who can meet quick deadlines and want to contribute to civic-focused storytelling, we encourage you to apply!
