Yinz & Yappers is a Pittsburgh-inspired pet supply company offering fun, high-quality products for cats, dogs, and their humans. We’re also on a mission to support local rescues—donating a percentage of our monthly profits to organizations that help animals in need. We’re looking for a creative, pet-loving Social Media Manager to help us build our brand presence on Instagram, with potential for other platforms. This is an ongoing opportunity for the right person who can create content that’s engaging, community-driven, and aligned with our mission and voice. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a weekly/monthly social media calendar Create and post content (graphics, photos, videos, captions, hashtags) Engage with our community—reply to comments and messages Track growth, reach, and engagement metrics to improve performance Collaborate on campaigns, giveaways, and rescue features Stay up to date with social media trends in the pet space Requirements: Proven experience managing social media for a brand (please include examples) Strong writing and storytelling skills with a fun, warm tone Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools) Familiarity with social media analytics Passion for pets and interest in animal rescue work Bonus: photography or short-form video skills for TikTok/Reels Project Scope: Estimated 5–10 hours per week to start, with potential to grow Long-term opportunity if it’s a good fit Bonus if you're from Pittsburgh :)
