We are looking for a motivated and results-driven professional who will help us increase visibility for our stage play by securing media coverage, creating engaging content, and executing targeted social media campaigns. Your role will be essential in getting our play featured on TV stations, news outlets, and across social media platforms. Responsibilities: Public Relations: Craft and distribute press releases to local TV stations, news outlets, and media organizations. Secure interviews and features on local TV shows and morning news segments. Build relationships with journalists, reporters, and media influencers who cover theater and entertainment. Coordinate media outreach to secure news coverage, reviews, and articles about the play. Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, etc.). Create engaging content including teasers, behind-the-scenes clips, cast interviews, and promotional posts. Coordinate influencer marketing by collaborating with local influencers and theater enthusiasts to promote the play to a broader audience. Implement paid social media campaigns to boost ticket sales and event awareness. Event Promotion: Help get our play featured on local event calendars, online listings, and theater directories. Coordinate with local businesses and community partners to promote the play through cross-promotions and joint marketing efforts. Requirements: Proven experience in public relations, media outreach, or social media marketing in the arts, entertainment, or live events industries. Strong knowledge of TV media, news coverage, and social media marketing platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). Experience with press kit creation, media pitches, and storytelling for theater productions or live events. Ability to secure TV appearances, interviews, and media coverage for entertainment and theater events. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with creative teams, journalists, and influencers. A passion for the arts and the theater industry. Nice to Have: Established relationships with local journalists, TV producers, or radio hosts. Experience running Facebook Ads, Instagram Promotions, or Google Ads for event marketing. Experience with Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, or other event ticketing platforms.
