Email Marketing Strategist & Specialist (Klaviyo)


The mission of this role is to rip apart our Klaviyo account—analyze it, challenge it, and rebuild it for stronger performance. You’ll take what we have and bring it to the next level: enhancing our sign-up and opt-in experiences, implementing interest-based welcome flows that dynamically adapt to what each customer cares about (like EMF health, privacy, or preparedness), expanding welcome journeys beyond the standard 5-email structure to deeply educate, engage, and convert. Take our currentcross-sell flows and elevate them—using purchase behavior to trigger smarter recommendations and boost repeat purchase rates. Apply strategic thinking and proven frameworks toimprove our abandon cart flow for higher recovery rates and build out a strong winback sequence that re-engages lapsed customers and increases lifetime value. In addition, review past campaigns with a critical eye, offering real, actionable insights to push performance higher. This role isn’t about tweaking templates — it’s about building a smarter, more profitable email and SMS ecosystem, grounded in segmentation, personalization, and results. We’re looking for a killer — a proven Email Marketing Strategist who’s been in the trenches and knows how to drive revenue, not just send emails. If you don’t have a strong track record in Klaviyo and DTC email strategy, this isn’t the role for you. Your mission: audit, optimize, and expand our Klaviyo ecosystem to maximize customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value. --- Scope of Work: - Audit & Analyze: - Review and assess all existing Klaviyo flows and past campaigns - Identify underperforming content, gaps, and opportunities - Build & Improve Flows: - Create and launch high-converting welcome, abandon cart, cross-sell, and post-purchase flows + more - Optimize and tailor flows to interest-based segmentation (privacy, health, preparedness, etc.) - Recommend and implement other critical flows to grow revenue and improve customer experience Strategy & Reporting: - Provide strategic insights on cadence, design, and messaging - Set up performance dashboards and reporting to track KPIs (conversion, open rates, revenue per recipient, etc.) Who You Are: - Proven experiencebuilding, optimizing, and scaling Klaviyo flows and campaigns in an e-commerce environment - Deep understanding of DTC email strategy, segmentation, personalization, and data-driven marketing - Strong technical flow-building skills matched with creative copy and layout instincts - Clear, proactive communicator who owns their results - Bonus: experience with SMS, Shopify, or marketing products tied to privacy/security, gear, or tech --- To Apply: Send us: - Your resume or portfolio - Examples of past Klaviyo flows or campaigns you’ve built (links, screenshots, case studies, etc.) - A short note on why you're the right fit —results, not buzzwords
