We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer on our short-term projects in a heavy fabrication environment. This role requires a strong background in mechanical design, fluid dynamics, Thermodynamics, structural analysis, and fabrication techniques, with a preference for candidates experienced in the steel mill industry. The Engineer will be responsible for developing and improving products, equipment, and structures used in high-temperature, high-load environments while ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: • Product & Equipment Design: Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and specifications for components and assemblies used in steel mills and heavy fabrication. • Engineering Analysis: Perform fluid flow calculations, CFD simulations, FEA simulations, and material selection to ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements. • Process Improvement: Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product lifespan, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall performance. • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including Engineering analysis, BOMs, manufacturing instructions, and compliance reports.
