We’re a team of engineers with advanced degrees in AI and systems design, and we’ve built a powerful platform for the show pig and breeder community. Our background is in building mission-critical software—and now we’re looking for a designer with master-level design intuition to match that level of technical rigor. Our app began as a gestation and breeding tracker, but it has since evolved into a four-domain platform that will serve as the digital operating system for breeders and farms. What’s Already Done: We have a robust design system already created in Figma. The Farm Tracker domain (Domain 1) is functionally complete and built in code—we now need it faithfully ported into Figma to standardize the visuals for the first launch. The remaining three domains are mapped conceptually and partially designed—we need your help to build them out with polish and consistency. The Four Core Tabs of the App: Farm Tracker: Manages pigs, breedings, heat cycles, weight, feed, symptoms, and health data. This is fully built in code—your task will be to bring this into Figma using our design system to align visuals across the app. Community Feed: A hybrid of Reddit and Facebook Messenger, where users follow breeders, vendors, or organizations like Sounder or the National Swine Registry. Features include post threads, real-time updates, litter announcements, and breeder activity feeds. Calendar Tab: A globally shared calendar with overlays for national events (e.g. NSR shows), synced to each user's farm cycles. Offers timeline-based UX showing how events align with their pigs' breeding/gestation schedule. Storefront Tab: This will not support direct purchases at launch. Instead, users browse products (e.g. semen, feed, shampoo) and are directed to external product URLs for checkout. Products live in our database and link out to vendors like “Jimmy Juice” for external purchase flow. Phase 2 will include native purchasing/POS, but that’s out of scope for now. Who We’re Looking For: A master-level Figma designer who understands product thinking and precision UI Experience with multi-domain mobile apps, especially social feeds, admin dashboards, or product catalogs Someone who can take working software and translate it into pixel-perfect design using an established design system Someone who thrives in cross-functional collaboration with experienced engineers Why This Is a Unique Opportunity: You’ll be the lead designer helping finalize the public launch of an app that already has real traction and deep industry buy-in. You won’t be guessing—we’re providing the logic, structure, and groundwork. We just need your design brain to make it beautiful, intuitive, and launch-ready.
