As part of our growing cloud practice, we are looking for 1–2 AWS Certified Architects to join our engineering bench for upcoming cloud transformation and infrastructure projects. Job Description We’re seeking highly experienced AWS Solutions Architects to help us design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud solutions across client environments. This is a freelance role with potential for repeat engagements. You will work closely with our cloud engineering team and project leads to ensure technical alignment with business goals, while maintaining best practices for cost, security, and scalability in AWS. Responsibilities Design and document AWS-based architectures tailored to client needs Implement cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) Lead architecture reviews and suggest optimizations Support migration planning and execution from on-prem or other clouds Set up CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment frameworks Ensure cloud environments meet compliance, performance, and security benchmarks Qualifications AWS Certification required (Solutions Architect Associate or Professional preferred) 5+ years in cloud architecture or DevOps roles Strong expertise with core AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS, IAM, etc.) Experience designing secure, high-availability, cost-optimized systems Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools Strong communication and documentation skills Comfortable working independently and managing client-facing responsibilities Nice to Have Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless architectures Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid architectures CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or Jenkins Previous consulting or client-facing experience Why Join Kimbodo?
