Systems Integration Specialist for Sailing Club (Small Business Tools & Automation)

We’re a sailing club based in Seattle looking for a freelance systems integration specialist to help us improve how our digital tools work together. We're not technical experts ourselves, so we’re hoping to partner with someone who can not only build automations and integrations, but also guide us on what’s possible, what’s worth doing, and how to streamline our operations. This is a discovery + implementation project — ideally someone who can audit our current systems, help us prioritize what to tackle, and then actually build the solutions. Tools we currently use: - Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Forms, Sheets, etc.) - Constant Contact - FareHarbor (booking system) - Nextiva - WhenIWork (staff scheduling) - JotForm (forms) - Asana & Trello (project management) - BigCommerce (e-commerce) - Clover (POS/retail) - RecHub (old boat reservation system with no API access) - Adobe Acrobat DC Top Priority: We want to trigger automated SMS confirmations when customers book online — but our booking system doesn’t support that natively. We’re hoping an integration with our SMS provider (Nextiva) or another, is possible, and want help assessing this and setting it up if so. What we’re looking for: - Someone who can assess integration/automation opportunities - Can build connections between tools (using APIs, Zapier, Make, or custom solutions) - Comfortable explaining tech in plain language - Can recommend better systems or workflows when needed - Experience working with small business tech stacks a plus This might be right for you if: - You’ve helped other small businesses streamline operations - You understand tools like Zapier, Make, or custom API workflows - You’re patient with non-technical clients and can guide us step-by-step - You enjoy helping teams work smarter We’re flexible on time zones and timelines — just looking for a thoughtful, reliable partner to help us get this right.
