Position Summary This position is responsible for the effective analysis, design, and development of educational and training programs utilizing modalities such as instructor-led, self-guided, on-the-job, eLearning, web-based content that drive measurable performance improvement. Collaborates with key internal and external business partners to clarify job performance needs and create learning and development solutions. Works with clients to develop training materials and process/procedure documentation (instructional process flows, SOP development and technical writing). Duties and responsibilities • Analyzes internal and external customer needs, and/or instructional goals and objectives to determine appropriate methods of instructional design for both instructor-led and eLearning programs • Designs and develops learning and performance support materials for a variety of instructional modalities (instructor-led, self-guided, on-the-job, eLearning, web-based content) • Develops and manages digital media (video, animation, podcasts and images) for client/employee education • Assists client training department or internal training team with pilot and program evaluation, this includes implementation, oversight and monitoring, editing and improvement of training content • Uses an approved instructional methodology (ex. Addie, Sam) for the development of course curriculum • Partners with internal and external customers to identify and develop required content to ensure training deliverables are met • Technical writing duties as assigned • Organizes and translates information into clear written documentation • Collaborates on content, design, and delivery with SMEs, project managers, and clients to produce sound instructional materials in accordance with solid instructional design principles that meet or exceed identified business goals • Implements eLearning solutions and distribute on a content distribution system (ex. SCORM) or LMS (internal) • Exhibits a willingness and ability to handle multiple assignments under strict time constraints Qualifications • 5 or more years of experience in Instructional Design and 2 or more years facilitating training sessions for clients and internal staff • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Broadcast Communications or related field required • Competencies requirements: o Adaptability, customer focused, time management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, respect for self and others, analytical, composure, computer skills, continuous learner, creative, mentoring, negotiation, open to feedback, presentation & verbal communication, and written communication. Skills requirements: o Storyline software proficiency, web & print content development, video production, training material development, PowerPoint visual design o Internal and external training facilitation o Project management skills to ensure timelines are being met • Technology: o Adobe Creative Suite o Captivate o Articulate Storyline o Learning Management System administration (previous implementation experience a plus) • Not required, but desired: o Master’s Degree Instructional Design, Education, or related field Working conditions • Primarily remote work • Carrying up to 25 pounds • Equipment used: computer, copier, fax machine, printer, telephone, video and audio recording equipment This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
