We’re hiring a Web Designer to lead a full website redesign for a fast-growing identity and access management software company, while also supporting ongoing updates and UX improvements to our existing site. This is a 20–30 hour/week contract role via Upwork, expected to continue through December 2025, with the potential for a longer engagement based on performance. You'll collaborate closely with our marketing and development leads and play a key role in shaping the company’s online presence. Availability during US business hours is required. In this role, you’ll guide the redesign project from initial wireframes through final implementation, ensuring a modern, intuitive user experience. You’ll also be responsible for regular updates to our current site, improving usability, refreshing content, and maintaining brand consistency. Your ability to propose thoughtful UX/UI enhancements, solve technical challenges, and execute clean, responsive design will be essential. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and can balance creative vision with front-end execution. You should have proven experience in web design, with a portfolio that demonstrates strong UX/UI sensibilities. Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are required, along with experience using Git for version control. Familiarity with static site generators (such as Astro) is a plus, as is a working understanding of accessibility best practices for screen readers and inclusive design. Bonus points if you have experience using Figma for wireframing and building design systems, or if you can assist with occasional graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite. Experience maintaining cohesive design systems across web platforms is also a plus. This role is contract-based via Upwork, with an ideal hourly rate of $75 or less, though we are open to higher rates for exceptional candidates who are highly efficient and a strong fit for our needs. The expected start date is as soon as possible. To apply, please include a brief message introducing yourself and your relevant experience, along with a link to your portfolio, GitHub, CodePen, or personal website. Be sure to note your hourly rate and your current availability. Qualified applicants will be invited to a Zoom interview, typically no more than one or two rounds. We keep the process efficient and respectful of your time. We’re a remote-first, high-performing team that values clean design, technical quality, and meaningful collaboration. If you love designing intuitive digital experiences and want to make a big impact, we’d love to hear from you.
