We are seeking a highly organized and professional Virtual Assistant to handle both national and international phone calls for a law firm and personal tasks. The role involves making and managing calls as needed, with the potential to transition into a more involved paralegal and client relations role for the right candidate. This is a flexible, as-needed position that will likely start with a light workload but is expected to pick up over time as the law firm’s needs grow. Responsibilities Make outbound national and international calls for law firm operations (e.g., client follow-ups, scheduling, vendor coordination) and personal tasks (e.g., appointments, inquiries). Maintain detailed call logs and follow-up schedules to ensure timely communication. Provide excellent customer service and represent the law firm professionally. Potentially assist with paralegal tasks, such as client intake, document organization, and basic legal correspondence, as the role evolves. Communicate clearly and promptly via email or other platforms to provide updates on tasks. Requirements Fluent English Proficiency: Must speak English clearly and professionally with excellent pronunciation and grammar. Candidates are required to submit a short audio clip (1-2 minutes) via Upwork’s messaging system, introducing themselves and demonstrating their English-speaking skills. Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage call schedules, track tasks, and maintain accurate records. Professionalism: Comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and other professionals in a courteous and polished manner. Own Phone System: Must have a quiet workspace and provide their own reliable phone system capable of making cost-effective national and international calls. The employer will not set up or pay for the phone system. Experience: Prior experience in administrative support, customer service, or client relations is preferred. Familiarity with legal terminology or paralegal work is a plus but not required. Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or CRM software for task tracking and communication. Compensation and Schedule Hourly Rate: $25–$35/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Schedule: As-needed basis, starting with a light workload that is expected to increase over time as the role transitions to include more paralegal/client relations tasks.
