Timeless Luxury LA, a growing jewelry business with physical shops in Los Angeles, is seeking a highly skilled and creative Shopify Expert to elevate our online presence and drive e-commerce growth. After 5 successful years, we're looking to significantly scale our online sales channel. I'm looking for a Shopify Pro to take the lead on developing, designing, and customizing our Shopify store to reflect our luxury brand aesthetic and optimize for conversions. This is more than just a basic setup; we need someone who can truly bring our brand vision to life online with exceptional design and robust functionality. The ideal candidate is a Shopify guru comfortable with theme customization, custom coding (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript), app integration, and creating a seamless, high-end user experience. Responsibilities: Shopify Theme Customization & Development: Customize our existing Shopify theme to perfectly align with the Timeless Luxury LA brand aesthetic (sophisticated, elegant, luxurious). Develop custom sections, features, and functionalities using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where needed. Ensure a fully responsive design that looks stunning and functions flawlessly across all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). Design & User Experience (UX): Enhance the visual appeal and user experience of our Shopify store. Improve navigation, product page layouts, collection organization, and the checkout process for optimal conversion. Advise on and implement best practices for e-commerce UX, particularly for luxury goods and jewelry. App Integration & Optimization: Research, recommend, install, and configure Shopify apps to enhance functionality (e.g., for product reviews, advanced search, wishlist, loyalty programs, email marketing integration, etc.). Ensure apps are well-integrated and do not negatively impact site speed or user experience. Technical Support & Maintenance: Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise with the Shopify store. Perform updates and maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance and security. Optimize site speed and performance. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with me (the owner) to understand brand vision, design preferences, and business goals. Clearly communicate project progress, challenges, and recommendations. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Shopify Developer/Designer with a strong portfolio of successful Shopify stores (please provide links). Expert proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Deep understanding of Shopify's platform, architecture, themes, and app ecosystem. Experience with customizing Shopify themes and building custom sections/features. Strong eye for design and a keen understanding of UX/UI principles, especially for e-commerce and luxury brands. Experience with responsive and mobile-first design. Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and ability to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points): Experience working with jewelry brands or other luxury e-commerce businesses. Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify. Experience with integrating Shopify with other marketing or operational tools (e.g., email marketing platforms, inventory systems – though primary inventory system setup is a separate project). Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) would be an asset. Based in Los Angeles or familiar with the LA market (not essential, but a plus). Project Scope & Duration: There is strong potential for ongoing work, including feature enhancements, new page designs, and regular maintenance, for the right candidate who becomes a trusted partner.
