We are seeking a licensed mental health professional with exceptional writing skills to support the conversion of our existing middle and high school mental health and SEL curriculum. This project is a part of a large-scale update to our platform, which serves students with a range of needs, from those in acute crisis to those in general education seeking coping skills and emotional support. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with our curriculum and clinical teams to revise, reduce, and refresh existing course content Ensure updated lessons are developmentally appropriate, research-backed, and engaging for students in grades 6–12 Apply clinical expertise to refine tone and delivery for students with varying emotional and behavioral needs Incorporate current mental health research, techniques, and relevant cultural updates Ensure language is both therapeutically supportive and accessible, using wording that resonates with youth Provide feedback on imagery and visual alignment with updated course content Meet rapid content conversion timelines with consistency, detail, and creativity Qualifications: Licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD/PsyD, etc.) Minimum 10 years of clinical experience with adolescents in school or therapeutic settings Proven ability to write engaging, sensitive, and psychologically sound content for youth Deep understanding of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, identity, stress, and peer relationships in adolescent populations Experience working with both Tier 1 general education and Tier 3 clinical populations Strong editing and summarizing skills- able to distill large amounts of content into concise, meaningful experiences Comfort working in collaborative and fast-paced environments, receiving and implementing feedback quickly Able to learn new computer tools and be self-directed Able to work in Excel and tracking tools Bonus: Familiarity with CASEL competencies, CBT/DBT-informed curriculum, or digital SEL platforms This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who: Is able to maintain neutrality, guard against bias, and personal ideals Is culturally sensitive and inclusive Is a workhorse and can get the job done Has stamina for repetition to get through hundreds of lesson edits Has the ability/willingness to incorporate specific instructions and carry out assignments Has the ability/willingness to modify and edit work based on received feedback Is empathetic and understands how to reach students with compassion and clarity Has a gift for language, especially when simplifying complex ideas without losing depth Thrives in structured autonomy: able to follow direction while making thoughtful, independent decisions Wants to contribute to meaningful, large-scale impact in youth mental health and well-being
