Hi, My name is Marie, and I work with a company that’s currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper or Accountant to help us with a bookkeeping clean-up project, along with some structural improvements and light training for our team. Here’s a quick overview of what we’re looking for: Project Scope: 1. Historical Bookkeeping Clean-Up • Review and clean up financial records from previous years. • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts. • Identify and correct any inaccuracies, duplications, or missing entries. • Assist in creating and generating monthly financial reports that can be replicated each month. • Assist in tax document preparation (or reporting to aid in preparation) for 2024 records. 2. Chart of Accounts Optimization • Assess our current chart of accounts and suggest a more streamlined set-up based on best practices. • Implement updates in QuickBooks Online. • Ensure proper categorization for income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. 3. Training & Support • Provide light training to our in-house payroll specialist. • Share practical tips for keeping the books clean, organized, and audit-ready. What We're Looking For: • Solid experience with QuickBooks Online (certification preferred). • Strong Excel skills for reviewing and organizing financial data. • Proven background in bookkeeping clean-up and account setup. • Ability to clearly explain financial processes to team members without accounting backgrounds. • High attention to detail and professionalism.
