Developer Needed to Build Automated SMS Workflow for Charter Flight Communication Description: Haven Aero, a leading Part 135 charter operator, is seeking a skilled developer to build an automated SMS communication workflow that integrates with our flight management system (JetInsight) and/or CRM platform (SCALE). Our goal is to provide timely, consistent, and personalized text messages to our charter clients before, during, and after each trip to enhance customer experience and reduce manual communication by staff. The Problem We’re Solving: Our current charter trip communications rely heavily on manual texts and phone calls from our operations team. This leads to inconsistent customer experiences, missed communication opportunities, and staff burnout. We need an automated solution that ensures all clients receive key trip updates at specific milestones, while allowing for personalization and error handling. What We Need Built: An automated SMS workflow that triggers based on key charter trip events. Below are the required stages and actions: 1. Trip Booked Trigger: Trip created/confirmed in JetInsight or CRM Action: Send a welcome message confirming booking and requesting special preferences (snacks, ground transportation, etc.) 2. 48 Hours Before Departure Trigger: 48 hours from scheduled trip time Action: Reminder message confirming trip details and asking again for any special requests 3. 24 Hours Before Departure Trigger: 24 hours before departure Action: Share pilot name(s), estimated departure time, and key reminders 4. 2 Hours Before Departure Trigger: 2 hours before scheduled takeoff Action: Send departure address, FBO name, and contact for trip concierge 5. Arrival Logged Trigger: Aircraft arrival or pilot confirms landing Action: Send a “welcome” or “thank you for flying Haven” message and confirm next leg details if multi-leg 6. 24 Hours After Final Trip Leg Trigger: 24 hours post-flight Action: Request customer feedback via survey link or 1–5 rating reply Key Requirements: System must log all SMS communications by trip and customer Messages should be dynamic (insert customer name, flight times, tail number, etc.) Must allow for manual override and real-time updates if needed Integration with JetInsight (API access available) or SCALE CRM preferred Twilio or similar SMS platform preferred Bonus (Not Required): Ability to send email alongside SMS Client opt-in/opt-out handling Admin dashboard to view/edit queued messages Deliverables: Fully functional and tested SMS automation workflow Integration with our chosen platform (JetInsight/SCALE or webhook) Documentation for handoff and future edits Slack/Teams notifications when SMS messages are sent or fail Who We’re Looking For: Proven experience in automation, SMS workflows, and aviation or logistics-based operations Familiarity with Twilio, Zapier, JetInsight API, or similar tools Strong communicator who can work closely with our ops team and IT vendor
