We urgently need an experienced developer or security expert to help us block bots that are targeting our Shopify store. Our Shopify site is being flooded by bots that visit our website, start the checkout process using fake emails, names, and addresses, and then abandon their cart. These cart abondons trigger the creation of thousands of fake accounts in both Shopify and Klaviyo and send automatic email workflows that end up in empty mailboxes or hard bouncing, significantly harming our conversion rates on our website and email deliverability score. There are around 3,000 bots in our CRM, with about 50 - 100 fake accounts being created daily. We currently have hcaptcha installed and enabled, but that only protects forms and comment sections, leaving our checkout page and cart unprotected. We also recently installed the third-party app Negate Bot Protection, which gave us insight about the different types of IP addresses the bots use, but it is proving to be ineffective in preventing the bots from coming to our website and starting the checkout process. We're looking for someone who can find and implement a solution to block these bots from accessing our website and abandoning their cart, as well as provide recommendations for ongoing bot protection best practices. We know that Shopify Plus provides stronger checkout customization and bot protection, but upgrading to that plan is out of our price range. Ideally, we are looking for someone with Shopify development and security experience, familiarity with third-party bot protection tools or custom solutions, and experience mitigating checkout abuse without upgrading to Shopify Plus. Please share examples of similar bot prevention projects, your approach to solving this problem, and an estimate of how quickly you could implement a solution. We're ready to hire immediately. Thank you!
