We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal to assist with discovery and legal drafting in an ongoing California civil litigation matter. This is a remote, part-time position with flexible hours—ideal for a skilled litigation paralegal familiar with California procedure. Key Responsibilities: Assist with reviewing and responding to discovery demands (interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission). Communicate with clients to gather factual information and documents needed for discovery responses. Draft discovery responses, objections, meet-and-confer letters, and basic legal correspondence under attorney supervision. Maintain and update discovery logs, deadlines, and case management tools. Coordinate closely with lead counsel to ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. Requirements: Paralegal certification or relevant on-the-job experience in civil litigation. Strong understanding of California Code of Civil Procedure and discovery rules. Excellent writing, research, and communication skills. Professional and empathetic client communication style. Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience drafting or managing discovery in California civil litigation. Familiarity with practice management tools like Clio, MyCase, or similar. Experience working remotely with attorneys in a virtual law office setting. Work Structure: Remote, task-based assignments with flexible hours. Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
