I’m looking for a contract-based full-stack developer to help build practical, AI-powered tools and web apps that support our internal teams. We’re a leading financial publishing company exploring how AI can enhance productivity across our business—from editorial workflows to marketing insights. You’ll be responsible for developing working prototypes and lightweight applications based on business needs I define. Deliverables will typically include: • Functional web apps or scripts • Clean, readable code with documentation • API integrations (OpenAI, Slack, etc.) • Simple, user-friendly UIs (can use frameworks like Replit, v0.dev, or Tailwind) Required Experience • Strong experience with OpenAI API, LangChain, or other LLM tools • Skilled in Python or Node.js + frontend basics (React, Tailwind, etc.) • Familiarity with integrating APIs (e.g., Slack, Box, Google Docs, Pinecone) • Able to work independently, quickly, and turn concepts into working solutions Deadline Expectations • Projects will be scoped and delivered one at a time • Most tools will be short-cycle builds (1–3 weeks) • You’ll work independently with async check-ins or video calls throughout the week when needed Working Relationship You’ll work directly with me to: • Understand business needs and propose solutions • Own the build from start to finish • Iterate quickly and deliver usable, well-documented tools Where I Need Your Expertise • Choosing the right AI tools and architecture for each use case • Designing lightweight UIs when needed • Ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable over time Please include links to relevant projects, your availability, and how you prefer to work (hourly or fixed rate).
