Dispatch Assistant


Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dispatch Assistant to support our logistics and dispatch operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and timely coordination of drivers, accurate data entry, and consistent communication with customers. The Dispatch Assistant will use a company-provided phone app and must be comfortable working on both computers and phones. Key Responsibilities: Perform accurate data entry of dispatch and delivery information into internal systems. Track and trace shipments to ensure timely pick-up and delivery. Provide timely updates to customers regarding shipment status. Coordinate and book drivers for daily deliveries and pick-ups. Communicate effectively with drivers to relay schedules, instructions, and updates. Use dispatch and communication apps provided by the company. Assist the dispatch team with administrative and operational tasks as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or administrative training is a plus. Prior experience in a dispatch or logistics support role preferred but not required. Strong computer skills, including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Excellent phone communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail.
