Description: We’re looking for a highly experienced technical consultant or software architect to join our team on a part-time, ongoing basis. Your primary role will be to review milestone proposals from our developers and assess whether the time estimates and associated costs are reasonable and aligned with the scope of work. Our developers submit milestone-based proposals that include estimated hours and cost breakdowns. You will serve as a second set of eyes to validate these estimates before they’re approved. Responsibilities: Review milestone proposals and estimate breakdowns submitted by our full-stack developers on Slack. Assess the realism and efficiency of time and cost estimates. Flag any under- or over-estimations, vague deliverables, or potential red flags. Collaborate with our project manager and development team as needed. Provide ongoing advisory support in sprint planning and backlog management. Help us manage project velocity and delivery risk with objective insight. Our Tech Stack Includes: React Firebase / Firestore Stripe OpenAI integrations Occasional Node.js and basic cloud infrastructure Note: You don’t need to write code, but a solid understanding of full-stack development timelines is essential. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in technical leadership, project management, software architecture, or similar roles Proven ability to evaluate development timelines and resource planning Familiarity with agile tools like ClickUp, Jira, or Linear Ability to communicate clearly, challenge assumptions constructively, and stay objective Time Commitment: Approximately 2–5 hours per week (may vary by project phase) Long-term, continuous engagement
