Fractional Assistant/Chief of Staff


About the Role: We are seeking an elite, high-performance Fractional Chief of Staff to support and amplify the impact of CEO Michael Koch and help with Partner role Transition. This is a mission-critical role that operates at the intersection of strategy, execution,operations, client support, and leadership. The ideal candidate will serve as the CEO’s right hand—ensuring precision across operations, communication, analysis, and execution. Organization is a must. You will be responsible for driving follow-through on key priorities, preparing the CEO for high-impact engagements, and ensuring that internal and external initiatives are tightly managed with excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Executive Support & Strategic Reporting • Prepare and polish executive-level reports, board decks, and client presentations. • Conduct high-level data reviews, reconcile numbers, validate analytics, and ensure accuracy across all insights presented to leadership or clients. • Own post-meeting documentation and follow-ups to ensure no action items fall through the cracks. • Operational Alignment & Team Coordination • Track deliverables across departments, follow up with team leads, and ensure timelines and expectations are met. • Work closely with the CEO to keep strategic initiatives on course and aligned with business objectives. • CEO Calendar & Meeting Management, Expenses, Travel • Anticipate upcoming engagements, prepare necessary materials, and ensure the CEO is fully briefed and equipped for all internal and external interactions. • Sit in on select meetings to ensure alignment, take strategic notes, and handle follow-up. • Financial Oversight & Expense Management • Manage and track CEO-related expenses, including budget planning, monthly reconciliation, and ensuring adherence to company financial protocols with Company bookkeeper and accounting firm. • Execution & Special Strategic Projects • Act as an extension of the CEO for high-priority initiatives, confidential projects, and critical communications. • Work across the company on cross-functional projects to bring ideas from vision to execution across Support, Tech, Client Service, Growth Team Who You Are: Skill We need. • Highly organized with elite attention to detail • Trusted, discreet, and professional—able to handle confidential matters with absolute integrity • Strategic thinker with the operational horsepower to execute at speed • Analytical and data-driven; capable of understanding and reviewing complex reports. Quick learner. • Excellent communicator with exceptional writing and presentation skills • Comfortable in a high-pressure, high-growth, visionary startup environment Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years in Chief of Staff, Strategy, Operations, or Executive Support roles • Background in tech, startups, consulting, or a fast-paced business environment • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Keynote, and project management tools. Video Editing and Social Media. • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree a plus (but our CEO likes and respects Scrappy) ⸻ This is not a support role—it’s a performance role. You’ll work directly with one of tech’s most driven CEOs, Michael Koch, to build a category-defining company.
