My startup is bringing novel concepts to the traditional menstrual cup, in hopes to redefine the existing feminine product market. We are seeking a mechanical/biomedical engineer with CAD proficiency to refine an existing menstrual cup model and create a model for the menstrual cup applicator. Qualifications: - degree (or degree in progress) in mechanical, biomedical, or a relevant engineering discipline - strong proficiency in and access to SolidWorks, Fusion360, or equivalent CAD software - experience with medical devices, menstrual products, and/or design for injection molding is a plus Responsibilities: - refine existing menstrual cup model to optimize the way it folds into the applicator (will provide existing model) - create model for applicator (no model currently exists, will provide sketch/ideas) - complete ~15min video call to brainstorm and define project/model scope(s). Deliverables: - (1) file containing refined menstrual cup - (1) file containing applicator for menstrual cup - (1) file containing larger size menstrual cup (same design as first file, part dimensions scaled up slightly) - (1) file containing applicator for larger menstrual cup (same design as first file, part dimensions scaled up slightly) Please include a CAD portfolio or examples of relevant work in the proposal. This project will also require an IP agreement and NDA.
