E-Commerce Site with Filters Wordpress or Shopify

I'm preparing to start a decent size e-commerce project in WooCommerce. This will be around 2,000 products when completed. Most of these revolving around shipping materials (boxes, tape, straps, etc.). So sorting and filtering will be very key to the user experience. I'm seeking someone that has skill and expertise specifically with filtering and sorting items and mass product entry. There will be details to each item of course and some of the layout will be nice to have help with if needed. I've searched for filtering options and I've used one before in WP - but it wasn't spectacular as I recall. Efficiency and knowing what to do is key here since I have other items on the site I need to focus my attention on. There are also functionality details like delivery vs shipping that needs to be addressed. The site owner will deliver within 200 miles of their warehouse if desired. We are at the point now of needing to upload product, get it in the appropriate categories, etc. All of that I think is best done with an import - I'm open to which method. I think this will come in stages as far as product goes. First product filtering and maybe the shipping situation. Then mass product entry with images, etc. and then we'll just continue with product as those become available. I do have a budget for the project that I have to work within, but I'm open to hourly rate, assuming the estimated time is less than what I have budgeted.
