ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Scrum Master to facilitate Agile development processes across multiple small development teams, ensuring efficient collaboration, continuous improvement, and frequent high-value incremental delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in the Scrum Master role on professional, high-performing teams, and is able to coach our development teams in the Scrum practice. If you enjoy coaching software product development teams toward greater efficiency, working with Agile Product Owners to organize and prioritize Sprint and Product Backlogs, and continuously optimizing Agile processes, this role is for you. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Agile Facilitation & Process Optimization -- - Guide our 2 development teams through Scrum events (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Retrospectives, Reviews). - Continuously improve our Sprint workflow, ensuring frequent (2-4 per month) releases of new software product functionality and improvements. - Identify and remove impediments to keep work flowing efficiently. Team Coaching, Support & Empowerment -- - Serve as an Agile coach, moving the teams toward greater efficiency, rapid incremental releases, and improving team dynamics. - Champion Agile best practices, while being flexible enough to meet the teams where they are. - Foster a culture of agility, professionalism, and accountability within the teams. Stakeholder Communication & Alignment -- - Work closely with our Product Owners to ensure backlogs are refined, clear, and aligned with KYROS's priorities. - Keep leadership and stakeholders informed on sprint progress, blockers, and delivery timelines. Continuous Improvement & Metrics -- - Track and analyze Sprint velocity, and team health metrics to drive insights. - Foster a growth mindset by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within teams. - Adapt agile practices to best fit the team’s evolving needs. WHO YOU ARE (Ideal Traits & Skills) - Adaptable & Resourceful – You know when to stick to Scrum rules and when to flex based on the team’s needs. - Strong Facilitator – You lead efficient, productive meetings and coach teams through challenges. - Problem Solver – You proactively identify bottlenecks and help teams break through roadblocks. - Data-Driven Decision Maker – You use Agile metrics and team feedback to inform improvements. - Excellent Communicator – You can simplify complex topics, align stakeholders, and encourage collaboration. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role. - Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies. - Experience working with Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools. HOURS AND COMPENSATION - Part-time, about 20 hours per week. - Compensation based on experience. - Fully remote
