We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated ESL Instructor to join our global team as a Program Development Consultant and Lead Instructor for our immersive English learning experience, designed for adult learners across West Africa, the Middle East, and Francophone regions. This role begins immediately as a consultant focused on developing and delivering curriculum and program structure, then transitions into a part-time teaching role with the opportunity to evolve into full-time faculty leadership within 3 to 6 months. About the Program Our English Immersion Program connects learners worldwide with native American English speakers for culturally rich, confidence-building language development. The program blends live instruction, on-demand recorded content, and American cultural engagement through music, storytelling, literature, and real-world communication scenarios. Instruction is cohort-based, with each group following a structured learning timeline supported by both live and asynchronous components. Your recorded lessons will be used across future cohorts, creating long-term impact. Key Responsibilities • Begin immediately as a consultant to help shape program design, curriculum framework, and instructional materials • Teach live virtual English classes (2–3 per week per cohort) focused on conversation, listening, writing, and professional fluency • Record high-quality video lessons and learning modules to be reused across future cohorts • Assess learner progress and provide timely, personalized feedback • Collaborate with instructional designers and content teams on course enhancements • Optionally, participate in on-site teaching residencies (2-week duration) in locations such as Benin, Senegal, or Paris Qualifications • Ph.D. in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English Language Education, or closely related field • Minimum 5 years ESL teaching experience, particularly with adults and international learners • Strong experience with remote instruction and LMS platforms (Canvas preferred) • Expertise in developing engaging asynchronous and live instructional materials • Native-level English fluency; French or Arabic proficiency is a strong plus • Excellent intercultural communication and learner engagement skills Preferred Experience • Published research or professional development contributions in ESL or linguistics • Experience in Africa, the Middle East, or Francophone regions • Familiarity with career-oriented English, TOEFL prep, or academic English instruction • Comfort using tools for digital course creation and video recording Engagement Details • Start Date: Immediate, beginning as an ESL Program Development Consultant • Schedule: Part-time at first, with opportunity to grow into a full-time instructional or academic leadership role after 3–6 months • Work Mode: Remote-first, with optional short-term travel (2-week residencies) • Time Zones: Availability for learners in U.S. EST and West Africa Time (WAT) preferred How to Apply Please submit: • Your CV and academic credentials • A brief cover letter explaining your approach to immersive, global ESL instruction • Optional: A sample recorded lesson, instructional portfolio, or published work Be part of a movement that brings the American English experience to learners worldwide through innovation, cultural connection, and powerful language transformation.
