I’m seeking a freelance Customer Experience (CX) / User Experience (UX) Designer to help improve the design, flow, and conversion potential of my e-commerce jewelry website. My goal is to create a more intuitive and beautiful shopping experience that encourages visitors to browse, engage, and buy. I’m a small business owner and jewelry designer. Below is a draft SOW, but would love to discuss it with someone who has the expertise, as there might be important parts to the process that I'm missing. Project Scope: Phase 1: Discovery + Audit *Evaluate current site flow, usability, and mobile responsiveness *Identify barriers to purchase and conversion opportunities *Provide a list of recommended improvements Phase 2: Design Recommendations *Wireframes for key pages (homepage, product pages, cart/checkout) *Design guidance on layout, navigation, CTAs, and storytelling *Ensure accessibility and mobile-first thinking Phase 3: Implementation Support *Provide direction for needed assets (I have a brand experience designer that I already work with) *Work within Squarespace *Support through post-launch tweaks Ideal Experience: *UX/CX design for e-commerce websites *Experience with product-based brands (jewelry, fashion, lifestyle preferred) *Strong portfolio with relevant examples *Familiarity with Squarespace *Experience with conversion rate optimization and analytics tools Timeline & Budget: *Budget: ~$5,000 total (open to discussion, and curious to know what can be offered within different price brackets) *Timeline: 4–6 weeks (open to discussion)
