NetApp Engineer Location: Fully remote Hours: 10-20/week Total hours: 100 Top Skills: NetApp Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and collaborative NetApp Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and support of NetApp storage systems across enterprise environments . You’ll be a key contributor in ensuring our data is secure, accessible, and highly available — while working in a culture that values teamwork, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain NetApp ONTAP storage systems (AFF/FAS series, NAS/SAN, NFS/CIFS/iSCSI) Manage and optimize SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, and other NetApp data protection tools Monitor system performance and proactively address storage capacity, bottlenecks, or risk areas Participate in DR (Disaster Recovery) planning, testing, and implementation for storage components Support migration and upgrades of NetApp hardware and software platforms Work closely with application, virtualization (VMware), and network teams to ensure end-to-end performance and reliability Document system configurations, procedures, and standards Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response Required Qualifications: 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing NetApp ONTAP environments Strong understanding of storage networking (FC, iSCSI), protocols (NFS, CIFS/SMB), and data replication Experience with NetApp Active IQ, System Manager, and CLI Familiarity with backup and recovery best practices Understanding of VMware, Windows/Linux server integration with storage Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar) a plus Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Preferred Certifications: NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer (NCIE) About us: Xcelocloud is a global multi-vendor support service that provides seamless advanced engineering and support for market-leading technology vendors—all within a single, robust platform.
