Looker Studio Pro to BigQuery Permissions

I have a Looker Studio Pro dashboard that is currently connected to Google Sheets as the data source. The Google Sheet contains all my clients' project data (various tables) as well as a Permissions table specifying Client ID, Asset ID, and the user email that should have access to those IDs. Using Looker Studio Pro with Google Sheets directly does not allow for permissions unless I invite each user to the Google Sheet itself, but that defeats the purpose of the permissions. Therefore I've decided to use BigQuery to create join tables that filter records according to user-email permissions. I've successfully connected my Google Sheet tables into BigQuery and created the inner join tables and have confirmed they produce the correct results. The issue I have now is that I cannot get my Looker SP dashboard and Google Cloud Project to talk to one another to implement the permissions such that each email I invite is actually able to view only their permitted data. I've run into two primary roadblocks: 1) I cannot assign a Service Account Credential from Looker SP without getting an error (screenshot 1). 2) I cannot add the principal to the service account from Google Cloud / IAM / Service Accounts to grant permission to the service agent without getting an error (screenshot 2). I don't think should take long for those who understand this ecosystem and jargon.
