Description: Sapient Industries is a rapidly growing provider of electricity, water, and gas sub-metering technology for commercial and industrial buildings. We’re looking for a driven and personable outbound sales professional to help us expand our network of installers by reaching out to electrical and plumbing contractors across the U.S. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, is highly entrepreneurial, and is energized by the challenge of opening new conversations. You’ll be introducing our easy-to-install metering systems to contractors who can generate new revenue streams by offering our solutions to their customers. What you’ll do: - Identify and build lead lists of mid-size to large electrical and plumbing contractors - Cold call and email prospects to introduce Sapient’s metering technology - Share follow-up materials (videos, brochures) via text or email - Encourage prospects to book a brief call or demo with our team - Keep light-touch monthly follow-ups with warm contacts to stay top-of-mind - Build and nurture authentic, long-term relationships with contractor contacts - Provide regular updates on outreach progress and feedback The ideal person for this role: - Energetic, resilient, and naturally outgoing - Excellent communicator — friendly, persuasive, and clear - Highly organized and self-motivated - Comfortable with cold calling and using modern tools (CRM, email, text) - Entrepreneurial mindset — able to work independently and manage their time effectively What success looks like: We’re not asking you to close deals on the spot. The goal is to build awareness, get contractors excited about our tech, and set up the groundwork so that we’re the first call they make when a submetering opportunity arises.
