"What is the situation?" Hi, I'm Maurice, better known as niche-internet comedian, MO-PETE! (Yea, it's stylized in all caps). I'm am changing my already existing podcast, The MO-PETE Report, into a new format: Improv sketch comedy featuring funny guest talent from across the internet, not unlike that of Review Revue or Reactivaders (there’s links to my favorite episodes of both podcasts is linked below if you want to see what I am going for here) "What is expected from me?" For your episode, we will record our own audio locally and communicate via Zoom or Discord. Episodes are generally outlined as follows: *Introduction- first 15 minutes or so we will have a little conversation so the audience gets to know you and how you are doing. *Sketch Zone- the meat of the episode. We will do improv comedy sketches riffing off either nerd-related new headlines we've found prior to the podcast or nerd-related topics we bring (for example, an anime you are watching or a game you played alot as a kid). The goal is atleast one topic or headline from each of us or more to fill out time. *Plugs- At the end of the episode you plug whatever socials you have or projects you've been working on. The deliverable to me after recording is an MP3 of your audio. I will also record the Zoom/Discord as a backup option. "How do I get hired?" The best way to get picked up as a guest is to demonstrate that you are funny, professional and easy to work with. Resumes and imdbs are a plus but demo reels, audio/video of you acting and/or being funny will go a LONG way. Also putting a no-effort, copy and paste cover letter is an easy way for your proposal to end up in the trash pile. I don't want people that are gonna treat this as "just another project".
