We are a dynamic marketing agency focused on helping brands grow through high-performance advertising campaigns. Our work spans digital advertising, website development, SEO, and creative strategy. We’re looking to expand our capabilities with a highly analytical, detail-oriented mathematician who can help us uncover smart, actionable insights to optimize campaign performance. Role Overview: We are seeking an as-needed mathematician to support our advertising and marketing analytics efforts. This role will focus on digging into campaign performance data, creating thoughtful hypotheses, and applying mathematical techniques to uncover insights that drive better results. You will also evaluate key metrics across the full marketing funnel (awareness, engagement, conversion, retention) to help improve client outcomes. Responsibilities: • Analyze campaign data (impressions, clicks, conversions, revenue, etc.) across multiple platforms (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, programmatic, etc.). • Develop and test hypotheses to explain campaign performance patterns and anomalies. • Identify trends, correlations, and outliers that could inform optimizations. • Build models or calculations to better predict future performance or ROI scenarios. • Analyze marketing funnel metrics to identify drop-off points and recommend improvements. • Communicate findings clearly through concise reports or visualizations (we prefer actionable summaries over dense academic papers). • Collaborate with our internal advertising and strategy teams to interpret results and suggest next steps. Requirements: • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, probability, and hypothesis testing. • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable with basic data visualization (bonus if familiar with Python, R, or similar tools). • Ability to look beyond surface metrics and think critically about cause-and-effect relationships in advertising data. • Experience working with marketing, advertising, or e-commerce data is a strong plus. • Flexible, collaborative, and able to work on an as-needed basis (estimated 5–10 hours per month initially, with potential to grow). Preferred Qualities: • Experience with marketing attribution models or media mix modeling. • Comfortable presenting findings in simple, non-technical language to a business audience. • Ability to turn messy data into structured, valuable insights. • A “curious detective” mindset — excited to dig into numbers and find hidden opportunities. Working Style: • Remote • As-needed project basis • Paid per project or hourly, depending on the scope of work How to Apply: Please send your resume, a brief note about why you’re interested, and any relevant project samples. Bonus points if you can share a quick story about an insight you uncovered from data that led to meaningful improvements.
