Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Consultant / Project Lead with a deep understanding of customer service software, live chat systems, AI-powered chatbots, and helpdesk platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in systems that are integrated with CRMs and demonstrate a history of overseeing complete technical project scopes, from analysis to MVP roadmapping. The selected consultant will be fully responsible for overseeing the end-to-end development of a custom AI-powered support system being built by a third-party software firm. This role demands high technical acumen, sharp project insight, and the ability to translate business goals into a clear SRS and MVP phases, while safeguarding the project’s strategic vision. ⚠️ Note: This is not a development or coding role. It is a technical leadership and oversight position requiring experience in multi-phase software projects and cross-functional coordination. Key Responsibilities: Act as our technical representative and product owner during the design and development of a full-featured live support/chat platform. Coordinate directly with the external software development company managing implementation. Analyze and benchmark top-tier systems (e.g., LiveChat, Intercom, Zendesk Chat) and define a clear, competitive feature roadmap. Ensure tight integration between support workflows, AI chatbots, and CRM systems. Analyze project goals and requirements, and create a thorough technical SRS (Software Requirements Specification). Break down development into well-defined MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) with clear feature sets and delivery milestones. Propose features and future expansions based on market standards and user needs. Provide structured progress reports and technical insights at each development milestone. Join strategy meetings and vendor discussions, including on-site visits if necessary. Remain available for real-time coordination, adapting to the dynamic nature of project progress. Requirements: Proven experience with advanced customer support/chat software (e.g., LiveChat, Zendesk, Intercom), especially when tightly integrated with CRMs. Strong background in AI-driven support systems and chatbot technology, including conversational flows and automation tied to customer service functions. Clear ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into highly detailed technical SRS documents and MVP breakdowns. Strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills. Experience leading full product lifecycle and acting as a technical liaison between business and engineering teams. Fluent in English (spoken and written). Willingness to travel if required to visit the vendor’s office. Available outside fixed working hours for critical project communications. Compensation: Fixed monthly salary starting at $500 USD, with potential for increase based on performance, experience, and expanded scope.
